The vision for Communities That Care

  • To complete a national trial to evaluate the potential for improved outcomes for children and young people through the Communities That Care process
  • To become the major training and consulting organisation for building community capacity in local coalitions focussed on the healthy development of children and young people and the prevention of health and social problems

Communities That Care ᆴ (CTC) was initiated in Australia with the vision of promoting the healthy development of children and young people through long term community planning to prevent health and social problems. The Centre for Adolescent Health has been providing research and technical support for this best-practice initiative. In future years Communities That Care will move to become an independent service while retaining research links with the Centre for Adolescent Health.
