Be captivated by the sights and sounds of Christmas as Davey Street, Frankston is transformed into an enchanted land, where magic happens and dream really do come true.
Celebrating its 16th year, Frankston’s Christmas Festival of Lights is a wonderful opportunity to bring family and friends together and celebrate the spirit of community.
Your host, Sonia Marinelli from Nine News with Santa and Mrs Claus will guide you and your family into an evening of entertainment, fun and fantasy, guaranteed to inspire the hearts and imaginations of everyone who attends.
Look for Santa and Mrs Claus as they embark on their journey through the city centre to the festival site, be a part of the parade and excitement of Santa’s Grand Arrival and help sing ‘Santa Claus is coming to town’ with the MikMaks.
See a world of wonder in Santa’s North Pole. Discover FREE children’s activities, create a Christmas masterpiece, be a part of a traditional nativity scene (bring your camera to capture the moment) and join in the fun with The Smurfs live on stage. Don’t miss your chance to meet Stuart and Jorge from Despicable Me 2.
Settle in, by the Entertainment Stage for a night set to have you singing along. Be inspired with performances by the Melbourne Gospel Choir, Australian Welsh Male Choir, PLOS Musical Productions, Sue Pascoe-Johnson Trio and Tyler Wilford. Don’t miss your opportunity to see Jackie Sannia from The Voice Australia, who will be performing for the first time at the event.
In Rudolph’s Market Place choose from children’s clothing, soy candles, macarons, cupcakes, jewellery and more and find the perfect Christmas gift, treat or decoration.
A family tradition, the fireworks and lighting of the 100-year-old Norfolk Pine promises to be a memorable moment. Make sure you and your loved ones don’t miss the fireworks display choreographed to an awe-inspiring theatrical sound and light show.

Come on down to Domain By the Bay on Saturday 15th June, from 10am-2pm for a day of fun and entertainment. Enjoy the fantastic live music from jazz band, Azure, and relax with a sausage sizzle and Devonshire tea. Stretch your legs and explore the grounds of this wonderful home. The event will also feature a financial planner on hand to answer any questions you may have about aged care and finance.
And make sure you bring along the kids along as there will be a face painter, balloon twister and even a puppeteer!
The event is entirely FREE making this a perfect day out!

Pier Promenade Frankston Waterfront (Melway Ref: 100A B8)
Experience the Frankston Waterfront like never before at the Frankston Waterfront Festival 2013.
With loads of fun for the whole family the Frankston Waterfront festival promises to be a great weekend.
The beach will come alive with loads of FREE come and try activities for people of all ages. Have a go at stand up paddle boarding, canoeing, sailing, scuba diving and out rigging.
Visit the Festival’s Challenge Arena and have a go at swing dance, martial arts, tai chi, and a range of other activities. Watch the demonstrations then jump in and try them out for yourself.
After all that activity it might be time to relax and chill out and enjoy the music at the Live ‘n’ Local stage in the centre of the festival. Relax to the tunes of local artists including Jeff Atchison and the Soul Diggers, Red Alert, Alanna Deutrom and The Dirty Boogie Band who will play a range of well known songs across the festival weekend.
Feeling a little hungry? Why not tantalise your tastebuds and relax with family and friends and a range of gourmet food from across the region. Sponsored by Boost Juice, we once again offer a wide range of foods, from sweet to spicy and savoury along with quality coffee vendors.
Then wash it all down with a cold drink at the Bear and Wine Garden. Ideally located near the entertainment stage local 2 Brothers Brewery will sell their boutique beers and wines for you to quench your thirst and enjoy. This is the perfect spot to sit back and relax in the sun whilst enjoying the entertainment.
While you’re at the festival come and experience some of Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula’s best tourism businesses including food, wine, art attractions and more. Sample some of the amazing local products on offer, and place an order.
If you have time, make sure you visit the Eden Gardens display where children are able to plant their own edible pot plant to take home.
Across the highway at the recently redeveloped Mechanics Hall see the Peninsula Arts Society and Friends exhibition. The display will include a range of patchworks, woodturning, embroidery, jewellery and more. Enjoy a refreshment and maybe take home a gift for someone special.
Back at the festival site come and see the wonders of our beautiful natural environment. With displays from Melbourne Downunder and from our local Friends Groups, this is a great chance to learn more about the hidden wonders of this beautiful part of Australia. Winner of Keep Australia Beautiful Victorian Clean Beach Awards, there is lots to be proud of in our local environment.
The young and the young at heart can enjoy all the fun and excitement of the rides and amusements as you jump, slip, slide and scream your weekend away. Catch a glimpse of the entire festival and beyond from on top of the Ferris wheel.
The Saturday night of the Festival will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display over Port Phillip Bay at 9:30pm. Don’t miss it as the sky lights up and the bay shimmers with the amazing lights and colours.
